The World of Nemundir

A modern civilization where magic replaced information technology. Corporations trade in power-storing crystals. Political corruption festers behind gilded facades. And beneath it all: a multiverse that refuses to stay separated.

Crystals of Power

Magic is studied, commodified, and weaponized. Crystals capable of storing magical energy sparked a new industrial revolution. However, corporations and political powers control the supply.

A World of Many Faces

Humans share Nemundir with Elnirs, Dorgons, and rarer species like the Meneruth — beings who can shape glass with their thoughts. Their cultures intertwine, clash, and coexist in a society as modern, unequal, and complicated as our own.

Teams of Change

Recruited by Nemundir's secret societies, your team handles the directives too dangerous, too sensitive, or too consequential for anyone else. Every mission confronts you with choices that matter, and the ones you make determine who trusts you, who fears you, and who you can call on when it counts.

Game System

Magency uses a d10/d20 resolution system where characters are defined by three core layers: Attributes, which set the raw physical and mental foundation, resolved by rolling d20 against a target number; Skills, which determine what a character can do and how well, resolved by rolling two d10s against a target number; and Influence, which tracks their reach and power within Nemundir's real-world social networks.

Core System

Three layers define every character: Attributes set your limits, Skills determine what you can do, and Influence decides how far your reach extends across Nemundir.

Combat and Magic System

Three combat modes scale with the stakes, from tactical duels to full narrative battles. Magic runs on its own initiative, its own resource, and its own consequences.

From a Notebook to App

Nemundir began as a handwritten rulebook in the summer of 2000 - a teenager's obsession that refused to stay small. Over the following years it grew into a published tabletop RPG system, a living world with its own mythology, mechanics, and community of players. The dream of connecting that physical world to a digital companion took shape at GDC in 2015, when the concept received its name: Hybrid TTRPG. What followed was a decade of solo development, setbacks, restarts, and one stubborn designer who never stopped building. That journey became Magency.

Past

The core rulebook arrived in 2007, then Book of Crypts in 2010, introducing undead return mechanics that locked in Nemundir's darker identity. A notebook idea became a published system.

Present

Magency now runs as a Hybrid TTRPG companion in Unreal Engine 5, linking tabletop flow into one CRPG-like interface with native Pixels Bluetooth dice support. Closed beta is already live.

Future

Early Access is planned Q4 2026, followed by the full Core Book in 2027. The next step is creating further expansions from the content built so far, while growing a strong community.
